The Grief Workshop: Making Life More Manageable After Loss
Understand your capacity, identify what is draining it, and build a practical plan for reducing overwhelm
Tuesday, August 4 at 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $10
After a loss, you may find yourself carrying more responsibilities, stress, decisions, and uncertainty while having less energy, focus, support, and emotional bandwidth available to manage it all.
When life asks more of us than our current capacity allows, even ordinary tasks can begin to feel overwhelming.
In this hands-on workshop, we will explore what capacity means in daily life after loss and identify the demands, stressors, and responsibilities that may be using more of yours than you realize.
You will also work on practical ways to:
- Recognize the emotional, mental, physical, social, and practical demands on your capacity
- Identify what is draining your energy
- Separate what truly needs your attention from what can wait
- Reduce, simplify, postpone, delegate, or release some demands
- Identify where additional support may help
- Create a more realistic plan for your current capacity
- Respond to overwhelm with less pressure and more self-compassion
You will leave with a personalized capacity plan and one or two practical changes to try after the workshop.
About The Grief Workshop
The Grief Workshop is a monthly drop-in workshop for anyone grieving a loss and looking for practical tools, guided reflection, and support.
Each workshop focuses on one specific part of grief or life after loss. Through grief education, conversation, and hands-on activities, we will explore the month’s topic and begin working with it together.
This is more structured than a traditional support group. Each workshop stands on its own, so you can attend regularly or join us when a particular topic feels relevant.
Advance registration is required.
Cost should not prevent anyone from participating. Please contact AimeeJo if the registration fee is a barrier.
The Grief Workshop is a supportive educational space and is not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, or medical care.
