# The Grief Workshop: Building the Support You Need After Loss

### Identify the gaps in your support system and create a practical plan for asking, accepting, and finding help

Tuesday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m. PT
Online • $10

Loss can change your relationships, routines, responsibilities, and the support you once relied on.

Some people may not know how to help. Others may offer support that does not match what you actually need. You may also find it difficult to ask for help, accept it, or even identify what kind of support would make a difference.

In this hands-on workshop, we will look at the different kinds of support that can help after loss and identify where your current support system may have gaps.

You will work on practical ways to:

  • Identify the emotional, practical, social, and informational support you need
  • Recognize which people or resources may be able to help in different ways
  • Stop expecting one person to meet every need
  • Make specific, realistic requests for help
  • Respond when someone says, “Let me know if you need anything”
  • Consider community, professional, and paid sources of support
  • Identify barriers that make asking for or accepting help difficult
  • Create a support plan that fits your life now

You will leave with a personalized map of your current support system, a clearer understanding of where support is missing, and practical next steps for finding or requesting help.

About The Grief Workshop
The Grief Workshop is a monthly drop-in workshop for anyone grieving a loss and looking for practical tools, guided reflection, and support.

Each workshop focuses on one specific part of grief or life after loss. Through grief education, conversation, and hands-on activities, we will explore the month’s topic and begin working with it together.

This is more structured than a traditional support group. Each workshop stands on its own, so you can attend regularly or join us when a particular topic feels relevant.

Advance registration is required.

Cost should not prevent anyone from participating. Please contact AimeeJo if the registration fee is a barrier.

The Grief Workshop is a supportive educational space and is not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, or medical care.
