# The Grief Workshop: Creating Your Holiday Plan After Loss
### Practical tools for navigating traditions, expectations, boundaries, and difficult moments
Tuesday, November 3 at 6:00 p.m. PT
Online • $10
The holidays can bring a complicated mix of traditions, expectations, invitations, memories, and grief.
After a loss, you may feel pressure to participate in celebrations that no longer feel the same, continue traditions you are not ready for, make decisions about gatherings, or manage other people’s expectations while carrying your own grief.
In this hands-on workshop, you will create a personalized holiday plan that reflects what you need this year.
You will work on practical ways to:
- Decide which traditions you want to keep, change, skip, or create
- Identify gatherings and invitations you want to accept or decline
- Set boundaries around your time, energy, and emotional capacity
- Prepare simple responses for difficult questions or comments
- Plan for grief waves and overwhelming moments
- Identify people you can contact for support
- Create an exit plan for gatherings
- Consider meaningful ways to honor your person or your loss
- Plan what you may need before, during, and after important days
- Give yourself permission to change your plans at any time
You will leave with a personalized holiday plan, practical scripts and coping strategies, and a clearer sense of what may help make the season more manageable.
About The Grief Workshop
The Grief Workshop is a monthly drop-in workshop for anyone grieving a loss and looking for practical tools, guided reflection, and support.
Each workshop focuses on one specific part of grief or life after loss. Through grief education, conversation, and hands-on activities, we will explore the month’s topic and begin working with it together.
This is more structured than a traditional support group. Each workshop stands on its own, so you can attend regularly or join us when a particular topic feels relevant.
Advance registration is required.
Cost should not prevent anyone from participating. Please contact AimeeJo if the registration fee is a barrier.
The Grief Workshop is a supportive educational space and is not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, or medical care.
