This is an online peer led group of individuals who struggle with various types of chronic pain and illness. Come with an open mind to share what has or has not worked in your recovery. Honesty, personal integrity and respect for each of our unique perspectives and experiences is essential. This is not a group that will offer you a quick fix or cure, but a space to hear other people's stories with self compassion and unconditional love, non-judgment and radical acceptance. An important theme in the group is understanding how fear can play a role in pain and how we can work on overcoming some of our fears and past trauma together. If people are interested I could lead some gentle movements, breathing practices and affirmations at the end of the meeting. Members of the group can choose and organize other times and events to meet in person. This group does not offer medical advice or treatments. It is purely experiential and peer supportive from those with lived experience.
