Understanding effects of coronavirus through its impacts on individuals

Details
The effects of coronavirus touched people across the globe, something society hasn’t dealt with in a century. While this is a problem on a global scale, it also impacted everyone, individually in many different ways.
Let’s use the power of the group to identify and give a voice to these individuals, and recognize and document their challenges. We will use these individual stories to start making connections on where challenges intersect. From there we'll identify areas where we can begin to design solutions to make a positive impact.
NOTE: We'll be using an interactive Mural Board to allow people to participate virtually!
In this session, we will: Identify individuals and begin to build personas.
Since this pandemic is such a massive, complicated entity, we’ll start small, identifying people in our own circles and documenting their stories.
It may be recognizable figures like the emergency room physician, the epidemiologist, the small business owner. Or, it may be lesser heralded figures like the single parent, the family experiencing homelessness, the young adult struggling with addiction or mental health issues.
We’ll provide some virtual tools and templates to start mapping out these individual personas. You come with your stories, ideas, and insights and a willingness to share and collaborate.
Something as wicked and complex as a global pandemic is a challenge tailor made for Design Thinking to solve. There is no one magic bullet answer, because there is no single problem. Our user-centered design approach with our focus on healthcare is a great intersect for us to start pulling apart this problem and designing solutions for future healthcare and societal challenges.
I look forward to collaborating!
