Microsoft Scout, Meet Tula: Extending the Same Agent Runtime to Patient Care
Details
At Build, Microsoft shipped Scout, an always-on personal agent built on OpenClaw. Scout knows your calendar, your inbox, your files. Tula runs on the same open-source runtime and knows your labs, your medications, your conditions.
One works for the employee. The other works for the patient.

This session goes inside Tula's architecture: a self-hosted OpenClaw deployment that pulls a real clinical record from Epic via SMART-on-FHIR, stores it locally as FHIR R4, runs local inference with MedGemma, and packages capabilities as modular, auditable skills using the open [SKILL.md](http://skill.md/ "http://skill.md/") standard.
You will leave with a working mental model of the agent harness pattern, what changes when the data is PHI instead of email, and how to extend these runtimes against your own systems.
