For our first meetup we are delighted to have Ed Pooley's terrific talk on "how to design and build a virtual GP".

The main talk - "How to design and build a virtual GP"
This presentation looks at the potential for managing patients using online and remote services. As part of the presentation, Ed will look at evaluating the problems of remote healthcare, designing services and finding a niche (from a programming and a clinical perspective), and options for monetise applications.
About Ed
Ed Pooley is a GP partner in Derbyshire. Prior to medicine, he was a researcher in neuropathology and ran a successful web development consultancy. Having dodged a bullet by not going into management consultancy, Ed now spends his days coming up with ideas about how technology can improve medicine
How the evening will work
7.00pm - Meet, socialise and chat, buy a drink from the bar. If you arrive before 6:30pm food is also available from Antenna (http://antenna.uk.com/)
7.45pm - We will introduce our speaker for the night and the talk begins
8.30pm - Our speaker will have a brief Q&A with the audience
8.45pm until late - talk, socialise, network, mingle and drink with other HealthTech professionals
