Join Us for Kayaking and Paddle Boarding!!!

Join us on Saturday morning, April 11th, at 9:00 AM at Backwoods Paddlesports to paddle the Trinity River! They open at 9 AM and Saturdays can get busy for them so please try to arrive 30 minutes before they open, around 8:30 AM. After they fit all renters with a life jacket and give instructions on equipment usage we should be launching around 9:10ish. We will paddle 30 minutes out and 30 minutes back, returning at approximately 10:10 AM.

You can rent a kayak or paddle board from Backwoods Paddlesports or bring your own for no cost. 😉 If you are renting, your life jacket and paddle are included. This is a dog friendly event and Backwoods Paddlesports will even rent you a life vest for your furry friend!

-- Location: We will meet at the Backwoods Paddlesport location at 480 N. Taylor Street in downtown Fort Worth. This is part of Panther Island but the entrance is on Taylor Street. Parking on the weekends is free and there are about 30 spaces in their parking lot. Parking is also available on Taylor St.

-- What to bring: Wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet - such as shorts and t-shirt or bathing suit.

-- Optional Social Activity: Afterwards, we will head over to Flying Saucer for lunch, which is located in downtown Fort Worth (Sundance Square) at 111 E. 3rd Street at Commerce. They have a chain taproom offering 200+ global beers & American pub fare in tavern-like surroundings. Their outdoor patio is the bomb! Check out more at:
