Details
PLEASE JOIN the Vegetarian Society of East Tennessee in welcoming Dr. Karmi Patel to our chef's stage this coming Sunday, March 2 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 2931 Kingston Pike. We will gather for a potluck supper at 6 p.m., and then our friend Karmi will demonstrate how to cook chana masala, a spicy chickpea curry from the north of India. The cost is $4 per person, or $10 per family. RSVP with Bob (info below) or just show up. Please label your dish as vegan or vegetarian, and include your name and the ingredients used in your dish as a courtesy to those with dietary restrictions. Karmi's dish will be vegan and uses no egg or dairy products. The book that Karmi co-authored last year, "How Healers Heal", will be on sale for $20, with proceeds going to the lifestyle medicine scholarship fund. Karmi will be assisted by her son Abhi. See you on Sunday!
