OUR NEXT MEETING of the Vegetarian Society of East Tennessee will be this coming Sunday, September 6 at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center, 6800 Deane Hill Drive. We swim starting at 5 p.m. and will enjoy a potluck picnic at 6:30 p.m. Please RSVP to Bob by text at 865-936-0081 to get an entry code for the gate to the facility. Cost to enter is $4 per person, $7 per couple, or $10 per family. The pool closes at 7 p.m. that evening, and the next day, Labor Day, will be the final day that the pool will be open for AJCC members. Please bring a potluck item and label it as vegan or vegetarian with ingredients listed. Please bring your own plate, utensils, drinking cup, and serving spoon. If the event is canceled for weather or any other reason, only those who have registered with Bob will be notified. Starting Sunday, October 4, we will begin meeting again at our regular meeting spot, the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 2931 Kingston Pike (potluck supper at 6 p.m, followed by a cooking class). We meet at the church the first Sunday of each month, October through May. We are looking for passionate chefs to demonstrate vegan dishes at our meetings. Pay and reimbursement can be negotiated. Please get in touch with Bob if you would like to share your skills. See you on Sunday at 5 p.m.!
