Sing World Songs Together

Sonke Multicultural Choir has been a very well established Galway group. We are meeting again on Tuesday the 16th of May 2023 (for the third time since the Covid-19 pandemic) from 7pm to 9pm on the first floor room of Club Áras na nGael (45 Dominick Street Lower, Galway City H91 E1NY) to sing world songs together for enjoyment.

There is no audition for Sonke, and as a multicultural choir with members from across the world, and with mixed and different ability levels ranging from practiced singers to absolute beginners, we aim to create an inclusive, friendly and sociable atmosphere where all are very warmly welcomed. We used to occasionally perform at events throughout Galway and the surrounding area. Choir books (full of our world songs) will be available on Tuesday.

Over the last two Tuesdays, we have really been enjoying singing the songs that Sonke used to sing over three years ago before Covid-19 and learning the odd new song. Wally is great at leading the choir practice for all, especially beginners.

Free attendance on Tuesday the 16th of May 2023 from 7pm to 9pm.
