Heard Nature Photographers Club Meeting

Welcome to the Heard Nature Photography Club monthly meeting!

We normally meet at 10:00 AM on the second Saturday of each month in Laughlin Hall at the Heard Natural Science Center. However we will be meeting on April 19, 2025 because our normal meeting date will conflict with the Heard Nature Center's annual Plant Sale. (Please support the Heard Nature Center!)

Our speaker for April will be Royce Bair, talking about Night Photography.

Royce is a professional photographer and educator based out of Utah. He is one the early innovators of a style of night photography some call “nightscapes” or astro-landscapes. Royce believes the foreground is just as important as the starry night sky, and may need additional natural or artificial light enhancement for better recognition and aesthetic appreciation. His lectures and books teach various ways to accomplish this, including his public service website on "Low Level Lighting" methods.
