What we’re about
Join me for a nourishing retreat for you and other mamas-to-be designed to help you feel more grounded, supported, and deeply connected to your body, your baby, and your birth journey.
What to expect:
-Grounding meditation to arrive fully into your body and the space
-Sharing circle – a safe container to share your pregnancy journey and be fully heard, witnessed, and held. We don't have enough spaces for women to truly express what they are going through without any judgment or interruptions. As women we are biologically hardwired for connection and community, and to be held in a circle of women, witnessed and supported, is beyond powerful.
-Exploring birth beyond biology – dropping from the thinking mind into the primal body that already knows how to birth. There is nothing you really need to learn if you trust that your body knows how to do this. We will explore ways to increase trust and to let go of what we cannot control.
-Letting go of fear practice – Recognising and owning your fears, and then gently releasing them, and replacing them with what empowers and supports you.
-Vagus nerve activation – practical tools for calming your nervous system and accessing relaxation
-Birth visualisation – connecting with your inner wisdom and intuition for birth
-Partner session – partners are invited to join for the final 30 minutes to learn how they can best support you
This retreat isn’t about facts, figures, or medical processes. This day is about giving you a full day to really celebrate yourself and your journey so far, to be surrounded by other women who understand how you are feeling, and to be deeply supported and nourished. You will leave feeling more relaxed and at ease with where you are at and what's to come. We don't prepare to give birth in our mind, but rather in our hearts and souls - finding trust, presence, and connection to the wisdom we all already hold inside of us.
I have been working as a doula for 16 years, and as an antenatal educator and pregnancy yoga instructor for 12 years. I have a deep understanding of what women need as they prepare for birth and during labour, and how to work with the body rather than against it.
