Yellow trail hike at Tenoroc, 8 miles
Details
It's been awhile since we hiked the Yellow Trail. The trail has some open areas but mostly canopy and beautiful. The trail is forest with uneven footing and a few open areas.
At the Entrance Station, tell the people who want to take your money that you are doing reconnaissance on the Yellow trail for Monika , Florida Trail Association. That should get you in free.
Drive on Tenoroc Mine Road about one mile until a small sign says Picnic Lake. Park there. Bathrooms and water are at this location. We will do an 8 mile loop and return to our cars.
We will leave promptly at 8:30 am, due to the heat.
Don't forget water, bug repellent, good shoes / hiking boots & AT LEAST 1 liter/quart of water.. And positive attitudes and a sense of adventure.
*This hike is open to the public, lead by Heartland Chapter of the Florida Trail Association (FTA).
If you come on your own there is an entrance fee.
