KICCO Trail Maintenance Event

Come out and work with Heartland Chapter members as we maintain the Florida National Scenic Trail - KICCO section. This is a multi-day event where we will camp Sunday - Wednesday at the Town of KICCO primitive campsite. We will work the 12 miles of trial starting Sunday afternoon after we set up camp.

This is a primitive campsite with no facilities.

****Please bring LOTS of personal water. We will bring water but we do not want you to run out.****

We will be providing all meals for Sunday evening - Wednesday morning.
I will need to know if you plan to camp with us for meal planning purposes. Let me know by 11/15/25 if you plan on coming, so I will be sure to get enough food for you.

Monday will be the busiest day of trail maintenance if you are coming for the day.

There is no need to go through registering yourself at the campground. I have coordinated with the South Florida Water Management District to create this as an event. I have secured the Town of KICCO from 11/23/25 - 11/26/25. You will sign in with me as an attendee.

Once you register that you will be coming, I will send you the gate lock code.

This event is cross posted on the Florida Trail Association's volunteer event system. Please only sign up once.

Please feel free to arrive any time after 12:00 noon on Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday:
- 6:30: Coffee
- 7:00: Breakfast Served
- 7:45: Morning Meeting
- 8:00: Begin Work
