Work Party in Green Swamp East 🤍 Festival of Lights 🕯

Calling all SWAMPERS, LOPPERS, and MOWERS! 🕯 Celebrate 'DIWALI' with your fellow VOLUNTEERS on the White Trail in Green Swamp East! 🔦 Meet at 7:15am at the Rockridge Road Trailhead to sign in with Activity Leaders and to finalize crews & responsibilities. 🪔 After an important "TAIL GATE TALK" about the division of labor at the ~3 mile work site, we'll drive together out Main Grade to continue maintenance on GSE's fabulous WEEKEND LOOP! 🌠

💡 The annual FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS is a bonding period for families, friends, communities AND associations, so JOIN US on the 20th! 🌞 And if you're NEW to trail maintenance, Heartland's Public Relations Chair — Sue2 — and our Activity Leaders will train you to SUCCEED! 💥

🌴 To stay SAFE during the Work Party, you should wear CLOSED TOED & STURDY SHOES or BOOTS and 👖LONG PANTS. 🥼 Long sleeves, gloves🧤 and BUG SPRAY are also recommended. 💦 Please bring at least 2 liters of water & some energy-filled snacks in a comfortable backpack. If you have them, please also bring hard hats ⛑ and eye protection -- sunglasses or prescription glasses are fine. 😎 Loppers and ear protection will be provided. 👂
