Let's celebrate the Winter Solstice and New Year by making our own live evergreen wreath! We will go for a mellow walk through nature, carrying our baskets and gathering boughs as our ancestors once did. Then we will reconvene at my house to make the wreaths, following a simple tutorial -- weaving an evening of creative joy, warm cider, candlelit ambiance and lighthearted connection πŸŒ²βœ¨πŸ™ŒπŸ½. I think this will be so much more fulfilling than just buying decorations at the store!

Older children who would enjoy this crafting are welcome πŸ₯°. Please wear warm clothing with sturdy shoes and bring some kind of basket or bag to carry your gathered boughs in. I will bring the other supplies, including clippers and some ribbons πŸ’•

We will gather boughs at the Fernan Saddle Parking Area, about 20 minutes east of Coeur d' Alene, which seems to be the closest forested place to legally clip boughs. We can meet at my home in town (Cda) and carpool/caravan if that works for everyone, leaving promptly at 2:15pm -- I will send my address the night before to attendees.

My apartment building is handicap accessible with an elevator. For those who are unable to join the walking portion of the evening, you are welcome to wait and join us at 4pm at my home 🫢🏽
