What we’re about

#### Are you looking for another choice for where and how you live?

We are a group of friendly, engaged and proactive adults from around the country who are creating Tulsa’s first cohousing community. Opening in August, 2023, Heartwood Commons will be a pocket neighborhood featuring 36 privately owned, energy efficient homes and common amenities designed to promote a healthy lifestyle, accessibility, and social connections for successful aging in place.

There are many reasons to choose cohousing. Being part of Heartwood Commons offers many benefits such as friendship, a greater sense of security, reduced home maintenance costs, shared resources and responsibilities, greater independence, and more time to focus on the things you enjoy. All of these things lend to living a longer, healthier and more rewarding life.

Our events include Zoom introductions to cohousing - also known as intentional community - as well as the specifics of Heartwood Commons. We will also have tours of the building site. All of the homes and the shared Common House are already constructed and being outfitted with fixtures, cabinets, etc.
