Join our 2025 BioBlitz on Saturday, November 15th
Immerse Yourself in Nature – Support Ecological Research

Our primary focus this year is identifying and cataloging as many bird and plant species as possible throughout the designated survey areas.

We are looking for Field Explorers!
Perfect For:
Individuals, families, students, those curious about nature, who do not mind the Florida outdoor climate (in mid-November) that want to help build a snapshot of local biodiversity.

Objectives:
Ideally have Smartphone or high-resolution digital camera to photograph and log species on iNaturalist - You can record observations in the BioBlitz Project later.
Visit designated observation sites during the BioBlitz.
Dedicate at least 1 hour of making observations.
Stay in touch with your assigned Field Team Leader
Ask questions, share findings, and contribute to group discussion.
No experience needed. Bring your enthusiasm!

BIOBLITZ DAY, Saturday, November 15

Early Birders BioBlitz with Pasco Audubon Society
6:30 AM – 9:30 AM: For registration, contact Christine Rowland at president@pascoaudubon.com
9:30 AM - Birders meet at Welcome Center, upload photos, enjoy coffee & breakfast.

Kick-Off Orientation and Breakfast
8:30 AM – Coffee and Team Leaders gather.
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Welcome breakfast, iNaturalist orientation, safety protocols, and team organization

BioBlitz Explorations
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Field observations in designated natural areas

Wrap-up and Celebration
12:30 PM – Pizza and salad lunch served in Welcome Center
1:00 PM – Sharing of results, stories, prizes.
