Heavy Legs Social Run
Details
A run from the centre of York, not far from Valhalla (keeping with the heavy music theme!). This goes from just outside the York's Chocolate Story (King's Square), and is a 5k loop that goes through Bootham, past the train station, along the river, and around the walls before heading back up towards King's Square again.
There are multiple points to cut the route short, so if you dont feel like the full loop, just head back to King's Square and we'll meet you at the end.
Whether you're new to running or very experienced, it doesn't matter as there is no pace goal, no race preparation, just running at a conversational pace. Nobody gets left behind.
Meet at 18:30, set off at 18:40, to give people a chance to arrive.
As noted in the group, the conversation isn't restricted to talking about music, and if you aren't into heavy music at all, you're still welcome!
After the run is over, we'll go grab food. No obligation to stay for food, and if you want to come just for the food, thats fine too, we'll be back at King's Square around 19:15-19:30.
Notes: There is no bag storage, so just bring what you can run with. Also, the run is at night, so try and wear something neon/reflective/glow in the dark/torches. While the route is mostly on pavements, there are a couple of road crossings, so ensure drivers can see you!
Please see the group for the rules, to make sure everyone feels safe and welcome.
