Back Together Better - The Great Popsicle Giveaway

May marks Sidewalk Talk's 6 year anniversary and the world is slowly opening back up. Sidewalk Talk is a street listening project started in San Francisco that has spread around the globe. Thousands sit on public sidewalks and offer "free listening" with no agenda.

We hope to get back to listening in Heidelberg again soon but in recognition to just how powerful this quarantine has been, we want to honor people, by safely giving out popsicles and stickers in celebration of our 6 year anniversary.

Just a sweet way of saying "I see you" "You matter" "I want to come back together better than we were before".

May this pandemic helps us all remember that our shared connection is priceless.

In order to join in all you need to do is bring a box or two of popsicles, wear a sidewalk talk shirt (if you have one but not necessary - sidewalk-talk.org/shop), and be open to spreading the message of human connection. I will be bringing a bunch of stickers.

2pm Meet at the statue in the Anatomiegarten - we will spend 15 minutes getting to know each other and deciding if we want to spread out or move to a different spot.

2:30pm : Hand out popsicles and stickers.

4:45: Clean up, check in on what the experience was like, decide when folks might want to listen together on the street.
