Classical Guitar Soirée and Tea Tasting / Celebrations for the World Music Day

The 21st of June is the World Music Day.

On this globally celebrated occasion, join us on a musical journey through centuries and cultures. Our guide for the evening is Federica Colucci – a classically trained guitarist, musicologist, and teacher. Federica perfected her guitar technique with artists of the caliber of Manuel Barrueco and Leo Brouwer.

The rich program features works by masters from the 16th to the 19th century, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Mauro Giuliani. This soirée offers a chance to discover the intimate and expressive voice of the classical guitar, as well as to gain insights into its evolution and repertoire.

As a tribute to the venue, a few words will be dedicated to exploring the significance of chamber music in the Chinese context, and to understanding how the appreciation of music and tea are sister arts.

During the intermission, you’ll have the opportunity to exchange a few words with other guests while enjoying a refined green tea from the Shaoxing area: the Cui Ming (翠茗). This batch was specially produced for HaiShangTeahaus by an organic farm in Zhejiang.
