We are going to get to know people from a few associations in Heidelberg, and find out in what areas we can work together. All innovative ideas are welcome!

We also have some ideas that we gathered from our meeting with the association Bildungskultur Rhein-Neckar:

From this meeting, we are especially focusing in the Fediverse instances rheinneckar.social and rheinneckar.events, but we also explore the possibilities of getting the involved in the regional wiki rhein-neckar-wiki.de.

As a Python group, we are interested in getting the tools into the hand of the users, and for that purpose we have our own server on which we can run our tools. A lot of innovation is only possible when you have the computing resources ready to go, and a team that can make innovative ideas happen. In fact, we are continuously building up a team, and you can also become part of it in one of our onboarding events. We have already partnered in the field of AI to get a RAG LLM running:

You do not need to be a programmer to get involved, and in fact, we are proud to have a heterogeneous team of contributors.

The Python community in Heidelberg has long established a meeting format where everyone is welcome. After a round of introduction, we figure out who should talk together and things develop organically from then on.

Meet us between 18:00 and 19:00 in the Seminarraum, Emil-Maier-Str. 16 (first floor). Coming from Emil-Maier-str 16, you go along right side of the building to the main entrance. It is not the entrance on the street, and you should see a number of mailboxes close to the door.
Turn the knob of the door, and when you enter, you immediately go up the stairs, where you will find the room "Seminarraum".
The doors usually close at around 19 o'clock.

At the end of the event at 7pm we are going to have a small workshop on video streaming to which we also invite some other groups that could be interested.
