Bear Witness writing workshop: An end of the year cleanse

Details
Maureen is the author of My Fears Out Loud, her debut poetry collection. Her movement is informed by her belief that all oppression - and therefore, all liberation - is connected. She invites us to bear witness to ourselves and the world at large in order to heal individually and collectively.
Together, we will reflect, ground, and lean into the full breadth of our humanity with writing and somatic expression. With guided writing prompts and somatic grounding practices, we will give ourselves permission to feel, name our emotions, observe them with curiosity, and be informed by what arises in our bodymind. When we are attuned to our experiences, we can show up as better allies and healers.
This won't be a gathering of "live, love, laugh" but rather an honest and unflinching glance into what makes (and keeps) us human. Attunement can help us respond to life with intention rather than reactivity, and this shift makes a world of difference in honoring who we want to be.
This experience will include refreshments made by a talented pastry chef, and materials to actively tap into, own, and embrace ourselves in our daily lives.
Let us end the year with grace, creativity & radical acceptance of who we truly are!
