College Send-Off Season: Letting go is bittersweet but necessary

Details

An August Meetup for Parents of College-Bound Young Adults
It’s August... and the cars are packed, the Target runs are endless, and emotions are running high.
Sending a child off to college isn’t just a logistics project — it’s a major emotional milestone. Whether this is your first, your last, or your only kid leaving the nest, the mix of pride, sadness, hope, and grief can be overwhelming.
This meetup is a chance to connect with other parents who are right in the thick of it. We’ll talk openly about:

  • The emotional rollercoaster of launching a young adult
  • How to support without smothering
  • Letting them take the lead in setting up their dorm/life — and why it matters
  • How to be available without projecting your own fear, grief, or guilt
  • Ways to care for yourself during this transition

Let’s hold space for each other while we practice letting go in a healthy, conscious, and loving way. Your feelings matter — and so does giving your child the freedom to fully step into their next chapter.
Come as you are. Bring your feelings. Leave with connection, perspective, and a little more peace. 💛
