Cardmaking Meetup at Casa de Luz

Come make cards with us, y'all!

Join us for our cardmaking meetup at Casa de Luz on Toomey Rd. Give yourself a moment to unplug from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy making cards inside this peaceful hidden sanctuary in the middle of the city.

This is a family-friendly venue and event. All ages are welcome.

Where's the cardmaking?
We'll be inside the Serena Room.

About the Venue:
Casa de Luz is an intentional community gathering space with the feel of a tranquil oasis. Enjoy lush gardens, pathways, and outdoor seating; an outdoor playground is onsite for families with kids. Organic vegan food options are available for purchase from the onsite kitchen. Paid parking is available streetside and in the lot off Toomey Rd.

Do I need to bring supplies?
We'll have plenty of supplies on hand, including blank cards, markers, stickers, washi tape, scissors, glue, and other scrapbooking materials. Feel free to bring along items from your stash if you'd like to add any special touches to your cards!

Who will receive the cards?
Your card will end up in the hands of an isolated senior living in a nursing home right here in Austin.

We collect cards year-round to distribute to seniors living in long-term care facilities in Central Texas. Facilities can reach out to us to request cards for the residents, and we recruit volunteers to hand deliver them.
