"Submit your talk" workshop

HelloStavanger is looking for speakers. Maybe it is you?

We will especially welcome local speakers that have a story to tell.

In this workshop we'll talk about what our intentions are with the conference, what the expected audience is. We will help you brainstorm talk ideas, suggest what can make a great talk and guide you through the process of refining those ideas into a concise and compelling abstract suitable for submission.

Deadline for submissions are April 7th, to after this workshop you'll be ready just in time :)

We're seeking a diverse mix of professionals from the broader specter of software development, all the way from idea to continuously delivered product. Architecture, design, code, agile, security and many more topics are wanted. We are especially looking for those who can talk about interdisciplinary topics that bridge different areas of expertise and help different disciplines understand each other better.
Session Formats:

• Presentation: Take the stage and engage the audience with your insights. Whether it's a 15-minute brief or a full-hour deep dive, we welcome your stories, slides, live coding, and inspirational talks.
• Workshop: Get the audience involved directly. Lead a hands-on session and specify any equipment they should bring.
• Lightning Talk: Got 15 minutes of concentrated wisdom? Share a quick, impactful talk about something cool that deserves more attention.
• Demo: Display your passion! Whether it's a pet project, an open-source initiative, or a unique gadget, take the stage and indulge in a Q&A session after your demo.

Languages: We welcome presentations in both Norwegian and English. If you can do both, but prefer one, select both languages and specify your preference in the Additional notes field.
First Timers very welcome: If your talk is accepted, we offer support and feedback to help you craft an impactful presentation. Help in writing an abstract is also available. Contact the agenda team at hello@hellostavanger.no for more information.
