Point Ruston Walk (w/ possible refreshment stop)

For this walk, we meet in the Point Defiance Park parking lot between the pond area and the Asian garden/pagoda. If you go past the garden, you have gone too far. I tried to show exactly the best place to meet with the pin placement on the map below.

Once everyone is present, we will walk toward the bridge that goes over the marina parking lot and catch a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier (weather permitting) and gorgeous view of the sound, Vashon Island, and Dash Point/Brown's Point. We will make our way to the main sidewalk that goes along the waterfront, then keep walking on past the condos. After the condos, we continue down the sidewalk until we get to the first pier. We turn left, take a walk around the wooden pier (views of Mount Rainier on a clear day), and head back. We can stop for a coffee (or whatever) if anyone wants, but this is not required and usually does not happen. :-)
