Unique opportunity to encounter African wildlife in a meaningful way

Details
• What we'll do
This will be a low-key, informal gathering. Enjoy some light snacks, some pictures of our past trips, an opportunity to learn about our unique trip to Zambia next June 26 -July 11 (or July 15 with optional extension to Victoria Falls and Botswana, and a chance to test your acumen at identifying animal sounds of the African bush.
This is a different kind of safari. We facilitate a profound, soul-touching journey, by approaching the land and the animals in a spirit of reverence and poetry, deepening our experience with simple mindfulness practices, yoga, and group reflection. And we break out of the tourist bubble to enjoy respectful, meaningful interactions with ordinary Zambians, as well as inspiring activists for conservation, learning about the difficult struggles surrounding African wildlife conservation.
Our 2018 trip includes incredible wildlife, remote bush far from other tourists, opportunities for walking and boat safari as well as vehicle wildlife viewing, night safari for best chances to see lions and leopards hunting, outstanding nature guides, 2 or 3 nights in a Zambian village experiencing African rural life, a visit to Zambia’s first community-led nature conservancy with Goldman Environmental Prize winner for Africa, time with community organizers in an urban slum, and much more. We travel in a small group, led by a husband-and-wife team with a passion for Africa.
