Väsenvandring

“This may not be your typical way of looking for ghosts, werewolves and the Lantern Man in the middle of Helsingborg. But once a year we open the gates after dark and invite visitors to take part in the Väsenvandring. It is a magical tour where skilled storytellers and strange creatures take you into the enchanting and slightly frightening world of Swedish folklore. Come along and discover meadows and forests, marshes and hills in a dark autumn Fredriksdal.”

Join me for an evening stroll around Fredriksdal lit only by lanterns and small bonfires where we hear old timey tales of ghosts and Nordic creatures! My plan is to meet inside the park at 19.00 where we can have a catch up before starting the tour at 19.30.
Please note this is a ticketed event and you have to buy your ticket via hbgkulturbutik to secure a spot. Please book the 19.30 slot before signing up here on meetup. Tickets are 180kr for adults and 80kr for under 18s and the tour takes approximately one hour.

This event is in Swedish only but don’t let that put you off if you’re learning the language! It will be good practice and introduce you to new vocabulary. It might also be creepier if you don’t fully understand…
