Join a small group of contemporary artists in Helsinki for an evening of connection, sharing, and discussion. This meetup is designed as a safe and supportive space for artists pursuing their practice seriously, whether you are just starting or already established.
We’ll keep the group small (max 6 people) so everyone has time to share. Priority is given to new participants each month, though returning artists may join if there are open spots.
Agenda
- Welcome (5 min) – short introduction from the host
- Artist presentations (10 min each) – each participant must bring something to show: a small work, photos, video, or a short presentation (any art form is welcome).
- Group discussion (30–40 min) – conversation about works presented and broader art-related topics
- Tea & apple pie (30 min) – informal chat, reflection, and connection
What to bring
A piece of work, photos, video, or a short presentation (you can send your file to me in advance if you’d like me to set it up — a screen and laptop will be available). The goal is to tell and show your art.
Practical details
- Location: Noli Studios (2), Kanavakatu 3
- Important: Please arrive on time — I will open the door for participants.
- Because the group is small, please RSVP only if you’re sure you can attend. If something changes, update your RSVP so another artist can join.
What to expect
- A chance to meet peers in Helsinki’s contemporary art scene
- Practice presenting your work in a supportive setting
- Constructive feedback and discussion on both artistic ideas and practical realities of being an artist
- A welcoming, informal environment to connect with others
What happens after the meetup
Each participant will be invited to a private Telegram channel created especially for attendees. The channel is a low-noise space to:
- stay updated about future meetings,
- share exhibition opportunities,
- organize occasional exhibition visits together,
- and, over time, explore possibilities like small group exhibitions of participants.
