Infrastructure as code, knr-ops simplicity - Joseph Shriner, Polar Squad
knr-ops shows that infrastructure as code can be plain YAML, managed by the same Kubernetes machinery that runs your applications. No new language to learn, no state files to fight, no extra toolchain. You describe your clusters and cloud resources once in Git, and Kubernetes operators build and reconcile them across AWS, Azure, or on-prem. Every change is a pull request with a rendered diff, so reviews show exactly what will ship. Edit, review, merge: the whole work-flow, legible to humans and AI agents alike.
Joseph Shriner is an American in Finland spreading his enthusiasm for GitOps, Observability, and Kubernetes. He excels at complex problem-solving, stuff that drowns him in detail, so he feels good when he swims his way out. He builds and operates first-class, cloud-native, production-grade Kubernetes environments across all cloud vendors using battle-hardened GitOps strategies for large, security-critical organizations. He also enjoys dogs, homelabbing, good food and friends.
Extending Platform Engineering to AI - Lauri Suomalainen & Mike Vainio
One AI enthusiast can make a huge impact to how a software team works, but transforming a department or a whole organisation requires a methodological approach. How do you avoid continuously re-inventing the wheel and prevent processes, tools and practices sprawling out of hand when code generation is faster than ever?
Come listen Lauri and Mike discuss how efficiently applied platform engineering approach can bring a method to the AI madness!
Mike is a Principal Platform & Cloud Architect at Teamit. He likes cars, beer, computers and of course Platform Engineering.
Lauri works as a head of Cloud Development at Teamit and also does consulting. Lauri enjoys removing friction from technology and processes, making IT organisations ever so slightly dysfunctional and efficient. Also metal music and rabbits. Those are cool too.
