• Abstract: In this talk, we will recap on why Tiered Storage is crucial for the future of Apache Kafka and how it fits in the current trend of leveraging cost-effective object storage services. We will discuss how Kafka's internals have evolved to support this new architecture, its performance implications, and current limitations and challenges. Finally, let's look ahead and discuss the ongoing work on making Tiered Storage production-ready in Apache Kafka and what use cases are getting built on top of it.

• Abstract: This is a talk about Kafka Connect: We're going to discuss what it is, how it is commonly used, the gotchas and traps we have found along the way. We will also go into details on how Kafka Connect is used at Wolt. If you do not know what Kafka Connect is, if you still roll out your own clients to get data from and to storages or if you are a newly minted kafka administrator then you may benefit from this talk.
