Welcome to Helsinki OSPO Local Meetup supported by TODO Group

Hi,

We are in the progress of organizing the Meetup, so expect changes in the schedule. I will keep this description up to date.

Let's have our first Meetup and figure out what an OSPO is and how to organize one. All presentations will have a Q&A section at the end.

Our topics to discuss:

• 17:00 - 17:10: Gathering
• 17:10 - 17:30: What is TODO and what it does - Gergely Csatari (Senior Open Source Specialist at Nokia): In this welcome note Gergely will introduce the TODO Group, the supporting organisation of our Meetup Group. This will include the explanation of what an OSPO is, what Linux Foundation is and what TODO is. At least what Gergely thinks about these.
• 17:30 - 18:00: OSPO, 1000 different ways to organize it, none of them are right but this is how Ericsson does it - Jimmy Ahlberg
  (Director Open Source Policy): Jimmy Ahlberg, Director Open Source Policy at Ericsson, will discuss the drivers behind why Ericsson established an OSPO, why its organized the way it is, and how they view its evolution. The talk will highlight arguments for why an OSPO is needed and its tangible benefits to organizations large and small.
• 18:00 - 18:20: Beer, Pizza and socializing part 1.
• 18:20 - 18:45: Finnish open source organisations landscape - Martin von Willebrand (Partner at HH Partners, Attorneys-at-law): Martin will cover the different open source related organizations active in Finland, as well as the most important international ones, taking into account the OSPO perspective. The audience will learn about COSS, Validos, Double Open, FSFE, Openchain and other initiatives.
• 18:45 - 19:15: How OSPO is organized in Veikkaus - Olli Nilsson (Open Source Officer): Veikkaus Open Source compliance journey. A quick look at our policies, processes and ways of working in OSS space.
• 19:15 - 19:25: Interactive discussion about future topics we would like to discuss (Gergely): In this session Gergely will ask the audience about their OSPO related problems and we will identify potential future discussion topics.
• 19:25 - ~20:00: Beer and pizza continues.
