Group A disorders: paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal

Details
Let's talk about the Group A personality disorders (paranoid, schizoid, schizotypal)!
Location: Oodi, group room 4.
There are many types of personality disorders, each with important differences. These disorders are organized into three groups, or clusters, with shared features and symptoms.
Group A personality disorders (DSM-5) have a consistently dysfunctional pattern of thinking and behavior that reflects suspicion or lack of interest in others. They include Paranoid (pervasive distrust and suspicion of others), Schizoid (detachment and limited emotion in social contexts), and Schizotypal (difficulty with close relationships along with abnormal thinking and behavior patterns) disorders.
The following sources are mandatory to read before the discussion:
- Personality Disorders (Mayo Clinic)
- What Are Cluster A Personality Disorders? (Psychology Today)
- Personality Disorders (Psychology Today)
- Paranoid Personality Disorder (Psychology Today)
- Schizoid Personality Disorder (Psychology Today)
- Schizotypal Personality Disorder (Psychology Today)
If you might find an extra source of information you would like to discuss on topic, please feel free to let the organizer know so we could all prepare for it in a better way.
Hope to meet you soon! :)

Primary purpose of the club is to learn psychology together. We target a high-quality discussion more than socializing with as many people as possible. It is very encouraged to stay on topic and provide a good argumentation.
Please get familiar with our club's constitution in "What is it about?" section in the Meetup group description.
