Henderson Hiking Club - 20's and 30's

Come spend Saturday morning near Mt. Charleston with us! “Fletcher Peak Trail” is a beautiful, scenic hike with a steady climb, great views, and a challenging final push to the summit. Carpool from Henderson, Nevada with Luke and Cassidy @ 7am (see comment below).

Most of the hike is manageable at a steady pace, but the last ~¾ mile gets significantly steeper, so please come prepared for a workout. Recent hikers describe the trail as mostly well-maintained and dry, with some loose gravel and exposed sections.

You don’t need to be an expert hiker, but you should be comfortable hiking uphill for an extended period and tackling a steep section near the summit. If you’re brand new to hiking or haven’t done much elevation recently, this one may feel pretty challenging. We’ll hike together, take reasonable breaks, enjoy the views, and make a morning of it. This is not a race.

Please arrive ready to start on time with water, supportive hiking shoes, sun protection, and a snack.
