This week’s destination is, "White Owl Canyon via 33 Hole” in Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
A fun loop with mostly easy walking plus a few short scrambles through narrow slot canyons, small tunnels, and open desert. Along the way you might spot owls, green-streaked rock walls, seasonal wildflowers, and even a quick detour to the river. Some loose gravel and brief steep sections keep it interesting, but overall it’s a manageable hike with unique scenery throughout.
It may rain, so bring along a jacket and grippy shoes!
