Sunday Hike: “Gene’s Trail” (Moderate 2.5mi) | 20’s & 30’s

A new one for us—this week we’re heading out to Gene’s Trail near Red Rock Canyon. Contact Sydney to carpool from Henderson (see comment).

Rated moderate, this is a shorter out-and-back that starts with a steady uphill to get things going, then opens into a more relaxed stretch with wide desert views and red rock formations throughout. It’s a good mix of movement and ease—enough to feel like you got a hike in, without it being overly demanding. No shade on this trail, so bring water!
