Presentation on Northern/Central Vietnam by Lane

Details
Hello fellow travelers!
It is time to go exploring once again. Please join Lane as he shares photos and reflections of his solo trip to the northern and central regions of the country of Vietnam.
First, he will take us to the hectic but fascinating city of Hanoi with its lovely parks and rich history. Next, he'll take us by train to visit the Sa Pa region near the border of China in the Tonkinese Alps. We will spend a few days living with the indigenous ethnic groups such as the Red Hmong, the Black Hmong, and the Flower Hmong. After, we will visit the charming town of Hoi An…the “Village of Lanterns”
Following that, we venture down to the imperial city of Hue with its palace complexes, located on the Perfume River. Finally, we will go for a junk ride amongst the ethereal karst formations of HaLong Bay.
Vietnam is such an amazing place with friendly people, beautiful scenery, great beaches, and a very popular cuisine. This trip was in Oct/Nov 2007. "I loved it so much, I’ll be going back in Sept 2026 to explore the south part of the country and cruise the Mekong River."
Pack light and bring sensible shoes!!!! :)
We will have coffee, tea and water. Feel free to bring your own beverage and snacks or snacks to share. Please sign up on this site so that you will receive a notification if something changes about the event.
