Presentation of South Africa with Kathryn

Hello fellow travelers!

Please join us as we tour South Africa with Kathryn! With a lot of planning of logistics, we curated our own trip from flights, car rental, inoculations, lodges, travel/medevac insurance, transfers and accoutrements required in the “bush”.

We have traveled to South Africa 3 times, including one side trip to Botswana. We stayed at various lodges: Inyati, Idube, Simbavati, Xakanaxa, Klaserie Sands, Naledi Lodge, Sabi Sabi Little Bush, umVangati House. We chose private game reserves vs Kruger as the rules allow closer approach to wildlife than in the Park. We hoped to see The Big Five: Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros, Elephant & Cape Buffalo. We experienced so much more.

We bookended our safari with stays in Johannesburg, the largest city in SA. The contrasts of this country are vast: geography, economics, income disparity, number of languages, populations, native tribes. Come learn about this amazing country!
