Presentation of Rwanda and Gorilla Trekking with John and Laura
Details
Hello fellow travelers!
Please join us as we tour Rwanda and visit the gentle giants of this region, the mountain gorillas. We started our trip with a stopover in Belgium to have mussels in Brussels and experience their tasty waffles!
Next stop Rwanda. Considered one of the cleanest and safest countries in Africa, Rwanda is known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills" for its mountainous landscape. We began our private tour paying tribute to the lives lost at the Kigali Genocide Memorial and learning about the reconstruction of Rwanda. Driving through the mountains, we stopped for a tour of a local coffee plantation, then on to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a state-of-the-art hub for conservation, education, and science. The next day, after an eventful evening with little sleep, we trek up the mountain to see the mountain gorillas up close. What an experience! I won't give away all the details, you'll have to join us for the rest of the story!
We will have coffee, tea and water. Feel free to bring your own beverage and snacks or snacks to share. Please sign up on this site so that you will receive a notification if something changes about the event.
