This is a designated ‘silent’ Relaxation Hike; we will engage quiet for the day. But "Ooh's and Aah's" are encouraged.
We are the Sloth Hiking Group: “We will get there when we get there.”

I am going to unravel my stress at Falls & pool of Lower Rockhouse Creek near the Pisgah Fish Hatchery. If you value more than a moment of silent, meditative calm; Up to 8 ppl are welcome to join me.
I will spend up to 2 hours at the falls wading, eating, reading and pretending to meditate.
Hike Details:
Length: ONLY 50 ft from roadside
Total Descent: 20 ft
Difficulty: some challenging footing.
Apprx return time: 1 PM
Drive time: 15 min.
Carpool contributions appreciated. $1.00 suggested
Weather Check: Brevard
Weather cancellations will be posted at 6:30am.
WAITLISTED PEOPLE WILL BE ADDED AS DRIVERS SIGN ON.
(I currently have 1 driver(s).
We suggest masks and open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs.
Well trained dogs (you don’t have to yell.) can be 'off-leash'. 'On leash' during the lunch stop. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises. Wood elves are mischievous in the Spring. Keep yo’ packs zipped!.
We will spend up to 2 hrs at the Falls. There are foot trails to explore into the forest. Come prepared to meditate, practice your Tai-Chi, 森林浴, read a book, prepare a meal, play a flute.
UnRavel: To experience a time of quiet in a manner that you feel worthwhile. Démêlez votre stress. (Unravel your stress)
Engage the 5 senses (sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing),
