I am going to visit Fisher Falls near Lake Toxaway. Up to 12 of you are welcome to join me.
I will spend up to 2 hours at the falls wading, eating, reading and pretending to meditate. Folding camp chair recommended.
Length: 2.5 mi Total; Accum Ascent: 275ft; Most on the return to the car
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Difficulty: Challenging: roots & rocks; moderate slope;
Drive time: 45 min; 26mi; via hwy 64.
Apprx return time: 2:30 pm

Weather cancellations will be posted at 6:30am.

We suggest masks and open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. Obstreperous raucous yawping is discouraged.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Well trained dogs (you don’t have to yell) can be 'off-leash'. 'On leash' during the unraveling stop. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.

I will be carrying the ‘Ent-Ward’ that gives us permission to pass thru the forest. Please don’t flick the fair flighty fairies…
Fisher Falls is a forest shaded 20 ft sliding cascade into an ankle-deep pool.
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
