I am going to saunter along the So Side & Outlaw Trs in Croft St Pk, SC; Up to 16 of you are welcome to join me.
Distance: 3.25 mi loop; Accum ascent 350ft.
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Difficulty: moderate; a well maintained trail shared with mtn bikes. Gradual rolling hills w/ 350 ft accum ascent. Occasional very short steep sections.

Drive time: 1 hr/ 55 mi 1-way

We suggest open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. My attempts to quiet the prattlers has failed. This has become a ‘social networking’ event.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash'. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.
DESCRIPTION;
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises. Due to recent events, Ouija boards are no longer permitted.
Start on Palmetto Tr from parking to the bridge. Then Southside Loop (partial). Type: Mountain Biking and Hiking; rolling terrain, hills and along creek sides. the trail winds along Fairforest Creek and trail users can view huge hardwoods growing in the moist environment. Pass a large old cemetery.
Outlaw Trail – Mileage: .5 mile Difficultly: Easy
Idaho Trail – Mileage: 0.5 mile Difficultly: Moderate to Strenuous; 2 short very steep sections.
All hikes are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
