Experience the inaugural Winter Ramble, a destination-wide celebration of Appalachian mountain music. Across one lively winter weekend, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and attractions, throughout Henderson County will host authentic performances—from old-time string bands and bluegrass to gospel, folk ballads, and country blues. Unlike a single-site outdoor festival, the Winter Ramble invites visitors to ramble from venue to venue, building their own weekend of music—all indoors, all winter.

The festival will feature several of our films including our award-winning PBS film, A Great American Tapestry, the Many Strands of Mountain Music, well as several of our shorts including films featuring ballad sensation Sheila Kay Adams, Cherokee musician Bo Taylor, song collector and balladeer Bobby McMillon, Grammy award-winning traditional musician Rhiannon Giddens, and Grammy award winning musician Dom Flemons.
