DECEMBER 2019 UPDATE
Hi members, I apologize for the unplanned hiatus that this group has been on for the past several months while I've been adjusting to new motherhood. I know our regulars have been missing our meetings so we will be starting back up again in January 2020 and I will be enlisting help from a couple of our long time members to help me run the group. Please keep an eye out for next month's meeting!

This is a book club for women interested in discussing comics, graphic novels, and manga with other awesome ladies. Regular comic readers and newbies alike are welcome!
We will read comics from all sorts of genres and mix up indie titles with mainstream series. Sometimes we'll read a standalone book and other times we'll read a volume or two from a longer series. I'll throw a few questions together for each meet up to get the discussion going but by reading a diversity of comics our group will have plenty of dynamic characters, narratives, and art styles to talk about!

If you're new to comics and would like to find your feet a bit before stopping by I recommend Scott McCloud's "Understanding Comics". It's a wonderful book for novices and long time comic readers alike that explains how comics "work" and introduces a lot of the terminology that we might use during discussion. But no need to read this first! Please join up and see what a women's comic book club is all about!
