For our November meetup we have invited more amazing women who work with data to share their inspiring career stories with us. We’ll have great talks from female data scientists, female leaders, and women passionate about analytics and data science so come along, ask questions and meet other women who love data!

Speakers:

Clíona Mooney (https://twitter.com/clionamooney) is Analytics Manager at The Irish Times, with responsibility for delivering actionable insights to enable informed, data-driven decision-making within the business. The Analytics team comprises Business and Data Analysts as well as SEO and Research Specialists, and services all departments including Editorial, Advertising, Marketing and Digital Sales. Having previously worked as Marketing & Communications Manager at Ireland.com and as Communications Planning Manager at Pigsback.com, Clíona joined The Irish Times in 2010 as CRM Specialist. She holds a degree in Business Studies with a Marketing specialism from DCU, and a diploma in Public Relations from The Fitzwilliam Institute. And she’s ALMOST over losing out on that Late Late Toy Show audition all those years ago...

Matina Thomaidou (https://twitter.com/matinathom) is a Senior Data Scientist at the Data Science & Optimization Global Team of IBM Digital Business Group, leading the European data science initiatives for Digital Sales. Prior to IBM Ireland, she worked at Accenture Greece, Microsoft Norway, and Ecole Polytechnique in France always focusing on innovative solutions for effective business decision-making through strategic evidence from data insights. Matina holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning for Online Advertising and a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science. She loves sharing funny didactic stories: Travelling and living in different countries helped her into gathering data points and diverse experiences.

Siobhán Grayson (https://twitter.com/siobhan_grayson) is a PhD student in computer science in the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, UCD. Her primary research involves identifying structure in multi-relational social networks. Her research interests include machine learning, social network analysis, cultural analytics, natural language processing, time series analysis, and anomaly detection. Siobhán recently work Student of the Year at 2017 DatSci Awards.
