May 2018 - Meet Amazing Data Women

For our May event we have invited more amazing women who work with data to share their inspiring career stories with us. We’ll have great talks from female data scientists, students, and women passionate about analytics and data science so come along, ask questions and meet other women who love data!

Speakers:
Jo Niec (@joannaniec) is a Product Analyst at Intercom where she helps product teams make informed decisions using data. She obtained a masters in sociology from the Univeristy of Wroclaw. After arriving in Dublin she pursued her interest in data and completed a course in data analytics at the National College of Ireland. She leads a meetup group R-Ladies Dublin and volunteers with Data4Good and CoderDojo.

Sapna Chopra (@chopra_drsapna) is a Masters in Statistics student at University College Dublin. Her focus has always been to work for the society. Having graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery and also a Master’s in Public Health, her interest in Data Analytics grew while conducting national level health research as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in India for more than 2 years. She used the power of data in bringing about changes in health policy in different counties of the country. She also has a few publications in her name. She now hopes to use her statistical knowledge and skills in bringing health and data together in Ireland.

Aimee O'Beirne (@aimoir) is the Fashion Data Librarian at Zalando, Dublin. As the domain expert, she helps to strengthen the relationship between technology and fashion, supporting the ground-breaking work from the Data scientists and Data engineers in both Dublin and Berlin. Bringing a fashion edge to a world of science and technology, she works to incite inspiration and fuel a deeper understanding of the fashion industry. With an established background in Fashion Design, Fashion Buying and Trend forecasting Aimée is an accomplished fashion industry expert.
