Meet Amazing Data Women!

After our summer break in August, we're back with a bang in September with talks from more amazing women who work with data! Our speakers will share their inspiring career stories with us. We’ll have great talks from female data scientists and women passionate about analytics so come along, ask questions and meet other women who love data!

Speakers:
Daria Barteneva (@DashaRV) is a Technical Program Manager in Azure – Production Infrastructure Engineering. Passionate about data analysis, pattern recognition, automation and process efficiency she have worn many hats throughout her career, including a variety of roles across software and service engineering, AI research and Data Science. With 17+ years of industry experience she is an avid learner, Women in Tech supporter and she thrives on a good challenge. In her free time she is an opera singer and a portrait photographer.

Elayne Ruane (@ElayneRuane) is a PhD Student in UCD with Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre where she researches testing methods for converstational agents such as chatbots. Elayne was exposed to data analytics and Python during the final year of her undergraduate degree in Accounting and the rest was history. She went on to complete a Conversion Masters in Computer Science in UCD and then began her PhD research. In addition to her PhD, she is working on a project that leverages Augmented Reality to translate between Irish Sign Language and English with the goal of improving accessibility for ISL speakers in ad hoc situations.
