We're back with another in person HER+Data meetup! An evening time event on Wed Feb 21st @6:30pm (Irish Time), hosted at KPMG. We'll have ESG themed talks from amazing women. Join, ask questions and meet other folks who love data.

Speakers:
Catherine Burke is a Data Analytics Consultant in the Connected Tech Practice in KPMG, with over 2 years industry experience. Catherine has worked with clients across the Healthcare, Banking, Utilities and Agricultural industries, across a range of projects which included Data Strategy, Data Science, Visualisation and Data Analytics. As a KPMG ESG data specialist, she has delivered multiple internal/external ESG opportunities.

Maryanne Doyle is a Manager in the Visual Analytics team within Connected Technology in KPMG. She made the slightly unusual transition from academia to consulting after completing a PhD in Data Visualisation in UCD. During her time in KPMG Maryanne has thoroughly enjoyed the range in clients, projects, and problems to solve – from building a dashboard to help a client prioritise which systems to save first after a cyber-attack, to helping a client to develop a five-year plan to grow their data team and implement a more data-driven way of working across their company. Maryanne is passionate about reaching out to folks who may not yet know they'd love to work with data and regularly speaks at events in secondary schools, colleges and workplaces.

Catherine and Maryanne are going to pair up to share their perspective on Embracing the Power of Data Strategy & Analytics for Good. In this talk, Catherine will address the challenges within an organisation’s ESG data landscape, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive data strategy and embedded data governance. Maryanne will share tactics for leveraging this data to illustrate an organisations impact in a powerful way.

Íomar McManus is a Data Analyst at Positive Carbon - a climate technology company that works with food service businesses to track and eliminate their food waste. Íomar is also a Climate Ambassador with An Taisce, a DECC-supported initiative to support meaningful climate action in Ireland. Íomar got her degree in Management Science & Information Systems Studies from Trinity College Dublin in 2018 where she was awarded a gold medal for her results. Prior to joining Positive Carbon, Íomar worked as a Data Analyst Consultant for PwC where she gained 5 years experience delivering technical projects in business intelligence across various clients and industries. During this time, Íomar developed her interest and knowledge in corporate sustainability. She has specific interest on the role data plays to uncover sustainability issues and opportunities for business.

Íomar will be speaking about the role of innovation to create new data to ultimately enable companies to decarbonise their operations.
